Brendan Gaughan Set to Enjoy his Favorite Month of Racing

If Brendan Gaughan qualifies for the XFINITY Series playoff, the month of August likely will play a large part in his success.

Three of the next four XFINITY races take place on road courses, broken up only by a short-track event at Bristol. But this weekend’s Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International, followed by trips to Mid-Ohio (Aug. 12) and Road America (Aug. 27 after Bristol) are the events that have Gaughan’s attention. NASCAR XFINITY Series teams are taking to the road course this week for the Zippo 200 at The Glen on Saturday, August 5th at 2 pm ET. Coverage begins at 1:30 pm ET on NBCSN, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

 

Drivers will race 200.9 miles over 82 laps with Stage 1 ending on lap 20, Stage 2 on lap 40, and the last Stage ends on the last lap 82. Continue reading

With Ben Kennedy behind the wheel of the No.1, Menards Toyota for Kevin Manion Motorsports they made their team debut in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series a memorable night at Iowa Speedway. Racing from his 18th starting position, Kennedy maneuvered his way through the field to second place challenging the leader, Todd Gilliland during the second half of the Casey’s General Store 150 on Friday night. NASCAR XFINITY Series teams are racing the US Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway on Saturday, July 29th at 3:30 pm ET. Coverage begins at 3 pm ET on NBC, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
