NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Bar Harbor 200 at Dover Preview

Following a week off, the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series will again hit the track this week at Dover International Speedway for the Bar Harbor 200 on Friday, June 2 at 5:30 pm ET with coverage available on FOX Sports 1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio at 5 pm ET.

Matt Crafton is the defending Camping World Truck Series race winner at Dover, while Christopher Bell (third) and Johnny Sauter (fourth) both finished in the top-five in last season’s race. 

Drivers will race 200 miles over 200 laps on the one-mile oval with Stage 1 ending on lap 45 and Stage 2 on lap 90.  The last Stage will end on the last lap 200.  Continue reading

NASCAR XFINITY Series News and Notes – Friday, May 12, 2017

The XFINITY Series will be off the next two weekends as the teams regroup and will return to action on May 27th at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the Hisense 4K TV 300 (on FS1 at 1 p.m. ET). That race will kick-off an 18-week stretch of racing. The next off week won’t be until after series comes back to Charlotte in October. Continue reading

After the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series’ visit to Martinsville Speedway, the series takes a six-week break and hits the track next at Kansas Speedway for the Toyota Tundra 250 on Friday, May 12 at 8:30 p.m. ET on FOX Sports 1.

William Byron is the defending race winner. Matt Crafton (second), Christopher Bell (fourth), Ryan Truex (sixth) and Timothy Peters (eighth) all scored top-ten finishes at Kansas last season. Continue reading

In the space of 100 laps, Kaz Grala went from youngest NASCAR national series pole winner at Daytona International Speedway to youngest NASCAR national series race winner at Daytona.

What happened between the first green flag and the checkers, however, could fill volumes.

Miraculously, Grala slipped through a wild wreck on the backstretch on the final lap of Friday night’s NextEra Energy Resources 250 to win the first NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race contested in stages under NASCAR’s new competition format. Continue reading

Bret Holmes Confident in 2017 ARCA Racing Series Season

Earlier this month, Bret Holmes Racing announced their intention to race the full 2017 season in the ARCA Racing Series with driver Bret Holmes and veteran crew chief Bryan Barry.  Holmes raced seven ARCA events last year with 2015 series’ champion Grant Enfinger as his crew chief. Together they earned three top-five and six top-ten finishes with an average finish of 8.6.

That success was enough encouragement for Bret Holmes Racing to move forward in committing to 20 ARCA races this season. With Enfinger moving his efforts to NASCAR this season to advance his own racing career, the team looked to Bryan Barry to fill the crew chief role this year.  Continue reading
