Chris Evans, star of Marvel’s latest Super Hero adventure “Captain America: The Winter Solider,” scheduled for release on April 4, will serve as Grand Marshal for the 56th annual Daytona 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday, Feb. 23, at Daytona International Speedway. Driving Iconic No. 3, Dillon will Lead the Field to Green in ‘The Great American Race’
Austin Dillon, driving the historic No. 3 car in its return to NASCAR Sprint Cup Series competition for the first time since 2001, won the Coors Light Pole for the 56th running of the Daytona 500 – NASCAR’s most prestigious race and season opener. “The Great American Race” is scheduled to take place on Sunday, Feb. 23 at Daytona International Speedway. The key to winning Saturday night’s Sprint Unlimited was to survive. Following an eight car wreck in the second segment, the field now was half of how many started the race. The remaining half put on a show that came down to the last few laps. It was Denny Hamlin outlasting the field when he sprinted ahead on the last lap. Hamlin was able to hold his position as his closest challengers, Brad Keselowski, Joey Logano, and Kyle Busch weren’t able to catch up with the dominant Joe Gibbs Racing No. 11 car. Continue reading
