Harvick wins at Homestead to secure first NASCAR Sprint Cup championship

The fastest driver doesn’t always win a race—or a championship—but on Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kevin Harvick did both.

Driving a No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet that has been the class of the field for most of the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, Harvick won Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400 at the 1.5-mile intermediate track and claimed his first premier series championship after a three-lap drag race against underdog title contender Ryan Newman. A New Name for Newest Addition to Formula One

Initially Gene Haas called his new Formula One team ‘Haas Formula’ and now he’s introducing a new name – ‘Haas F1 Team.’

The founder of Haas Automation and chairman of the newly renamed Haas F1 Team, Gene Haas opted for the name change to better correlate his team with motor racing’s most prestigious series – the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. Continue reading →

Tony Returns to Racing at Atlanta Motor Speedway

Tony Stewart has decided to return to racing this weekend at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, Georgia. The Aug. 31 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at the 1.54-mile oval will mark Stewart’s first start since Aug. 3 at Pocono (Pa.) Raceway.  Continue reading →
