With just five laps to go in Monday night’s Jeep Beach 175 at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway, a red flag for rain paused the action on the half-mile oval for well over an hour.

And the long wait for the last few laps was worth every second, especially for Max Gutiérrez.

Taylor Gray wins at Kern County Raceway in the ARCA Menards Series West NAPA ENEOS 125 on Sunday in Bakersfield, California for his first victory.

Taylor Gray entered the Friday-Sunday doubleheader weekend making his third and fourth ARCA Menards Series West starts. He had never raced at All American Speedway or at Kern County Raceway Park.

The results represented much more than beginner’s luck.
