Justin Allison Adds his Name to Family Winners’ Circle

 

ARSlogoWith pit strategy and weather in play at Pocono Raceway, ARCA Racing Series driver Justin Allison earned his first series win in the ModSpace 125.

Justin Allison is the third member of the Allison family to win an ARCA race. Davey won eight times and Bobby once.

“It’s pretty cool to win here,” he said. “The Allison’s have a lot of history at this track. It definitely means a lot to get this first win here.”

The ARCA Racing Series will turn left and right only once this season at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) this weekend.

It will be the seventh race held at the facility, with Justin Allgaier winning the inaugural event in 2008. The driver to beat the last three years has been Andrew Ranger, who is the three-time and defending winner of the race. Ranger had to battle current Nationwide Series driver Chase Elliott for the victory the last two seasons. The Canadian driver’s background in road-course racing has contributed to his success in ARCA, as well as in the K&N Series. Hessert Grabs First ARCA Win at Talladega

Tom Hessert got a push from his teammate to propel him to the lead with three laps to go to score his first victory at Talladega.

Early in the going, it looked like Grant Enfinger picked up where he left off last week from Salem. The No. 90 car led the first 35 laps after starting from the pole.

On the first round of green-flag pit stops, there were at least 16 cars caught speeding entering or leaving pit road, including Enfinger. Continue reading
