Defending Better Half Dash Champion Lyn-Z Pastrana clocked the fastest time in Monday’s qualifying session and will be a favorite to win back-to-back Better Half Dash titles when the ladies of NASCAR return to Charlotte Motor Speedway’s frontstretch quarter-mile during Bojangles’ Pole Night on Thursday.

Pastrana, wife of NASCAR Nationwide Series driver and action sports superstar Travis Pastrana, said she is happy with her qualifying effort, a 20.257 second lap, but also aware of how much different the racing will be under more crowded race conditions. Continue reading →

Friday night’s Nationwide Series race at Daytona wasn’t a typical Daytona race. Four cautions throughout the event left very few cars off the track. Restrictor plate ace Matt Kenseth navigated his way to the front toward the closing laps and a nice draft from Truck Series regular James Buescher propelled Kenseth to his first Nationwide victory with Joe Gibbs Racing. It may have taken awhile, but the race ended in triumph for Trevor Bayne. After two rain-delays, the Nationwide Series Race at Iowa Speedway finally ran in its entirety on Sunday morning and afternoon. It looked like Austin Dillon was going to run away with the race, but a late race battle sent Bayne to the top spot and Dillon had to settle for second. The race had a decent amount of action and ended with a familiar car doing a burn-out on the frontstretch – the no. 6 car. Continue reading →

Fans of NASCAR Nationwide Series driver Travis Pastrana will get an opportunity to be up-close-and-personal with the X Games Champion when the driver of the No. 60 Ford for Roush Fenway Racing visits Darlington Raceway’s Jack Daniel’s Champions’ Club on Friday, May 10.

Pastrana will participate in a 15-minute question and answer session for fans that purchased the Jack Daniel’s Champions’ Club package for the Nationwide Series VFW Sport Clips Help a Hero 200 race. His appearance time is tentatively scheduled for 1:55 p.m. – 2:10 p.m. Continue reading →
