Late Pass Gives William Byron Second Career Victory

Teenager William Byron overhauled Matt Crafton with five laps remaining and drove to victory in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Rattlesnake 400 Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway.

Byron, of Kyle Busch Motorsports, posted his second series victory at the expense of Crafton, who dominated the 167-lapper after brushing the turn three wall 11 laps into the night. Byron earned his breakthrough series victory earlier this season at Kansas Speedway, a 1.5-mile quad-oval similar to TMS.

Byron, 18, is the youngest Truck Series winner at TMS and the second-youngest overall, a record held by Chase Elliott in the NASCAR XFINITY Series in 2014. Continue reading →

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams will race 250.5 miles over 167 laps in the Rattlesnake 400 on Friday, June 10th at Texas Motor Speedway with television coverage on FOX Sports 1 starting at 8:30 pm ET and a green flag around 9 pm ET.  Radio coverage is on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

Three-Peat: Crafton Goes for Third Straight June Texas Victory

Matt Crafton, who’s won the last two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races this season and the past two June contests at Texas Motor Speedway, will go for his third consecutive win in Friday’s Rattlesnake 400 at the 1.5-mile track.

In 30 career starts at Texas, Crafton owns two wins, 11 top-fives, 19 top-tens and a 9.7 average finish. He has placed in the top-ten in his last nine starts there. The ThorSport Racing driver also has three runner-up showings at Texas. Continue reading →

Holding off a hard-charging rookie, the veteran ARCA Racing Series champion Grant Enfinger brought the GMS Racing No. 23 to the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible200 checkered flag and victory lane on Friday, June 3rd. Crafton Cruises to Second Consecutive Win

Matt Crafton led a race-high 47 laps in last Saturday’s North Carolina Education Lottery 200 to cruise to his second consecutive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory.

The ThorSport Racing driver, who leads the points standings, is the first driver on the circuit to log multiple victories this season. He has totaled at least two wins in his last three campaigns. Continue reading →
