Blaine Perkins Making his Debut at Chicagoland Speedway

Racing the third of four races with Mason Mitchell Motorsports this season in the ARCA Racing Series, Blaine Perkins is now at Chicagoland Speedway. It’s the third track he’s never raced at before to get some experience on tracks bigger than a half-mile. In his debut at Talladega he finished 13th in April and then in June he finished 12th in his Pocono debut. In the No. 98, Perkins is hoping to show some improvement tonight in his Chicagoland debut in the SCOTT 150. Continue reading

Taking the lead on the last restart of the race, the two-time NASCAR Next driver, Chase Purdy was on his way to a victory in the ARCA Racing Series’ Menard’s 200 at Toledo Speedway on Sunday. He was five car lengths ahead of his nearest competitor until lapped traffic gave his teammate, Zane Smith a chance to make a big move with nine laps left in the race to get his second straight victory. Deegan’s Championship Fire Earns her Return Spot in NASCAR Next Class

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — To be honest, Brian Deegan didn’t see that championship fire in his daughter, Hailie, when she first began racing.

With his eldest son, Haiden, sure. He’s only 12 years old but has always had the kind of daring and reckless personality that already has earned him the nickname “Danger Boy Deegan” on the motocross circuit. Even youngest son, Hudson, who races trucks and motocross at age 8 showed that classic Deegan fearlessness early.

But Hailie — smart, laid-back, happy-go-lucky Hailie — began racing go-karts at age 8 just to keep her occupied while Brian Deegan competed as a motocross and X Games motorcycle star and on the trucks circuit. It was just fun. Nothing more. Continue reading
