AJ Allmendinger Reinstated by NASCAR

AJ Allmendinger has been reinstated by NASCAR after being indefinitely suspended on July 24.

AJ Allmendinger was suspended for violating NASCAR’s substance abuse policy after failing a random drug test at Kentucky Speedway on July 24th. A few weeks later Allmendinger was fired by Penske Racing. AJ, in a later interview, stated that he failed the random drug test by taking amphetamines. Allmendinger said stress was the biggest factory in taking the drug one time and that stress would be the main emphasis in his “Road to Recovery” program so he could return to NASCAR. Brad Keselowski Opens the Chase with a Win

Beating Jimmie Johnson was a hard task the whole day but after the last pit stop, Keselowski figured out how to pass Johnson.

Johnson dominated the race for most of the day and Keselowski was the only driver who could keep up. Keselowski had a great final pit stop and made the race winning move by passing Johnson with about thirty laps to go. After Keselowski’s final pit stop he said his car “just took off.” Continue reading
