Fan Perspective – The Least Popular Banner in NASCAR

nascar-on-tntIf you’ve been watching the last two Sprint Cup races at Pocono and Michigan on TV, then you’ve probably noticed TNT’s new addition this season. The sponsor banner.

Covering a whole line on the top of the screen is this large banner which advertises for multiple companies over the course of the race. It has been a nuisance to fans, because it tends to cover up a good part of the live race. TNT is always trying to slide these little things in during their ‘Summer Series’ of racing and once again this year, their new aspect to the race broadcast has fans up in arms. Continue reading

Michelle McCullough – the Force behind Brittany

Michelle McCullough is the media relations manager for the National Hot Rod Association, NHRA Top Fuel Dragster, and 2013 Rookie, Brittany Force.

McCullough’s resume includes three years at Auto Club Speedway in Southern California, where she assisted with the coordination of all NASCAR events. She also worked in the media relations department at New Mexico State University from 2007 to 2011 covering all Division I sports. Continue reading

At the early age of five years-old, CJ Faison started racing go-carts and hasn’t looked back  while leaving his competition in the dust. Faison is not your average 19 year-old race car driver, CJ is also manager of his race team JMI Motorsports.

A normal day for CJ is managing money, buying equipment, getting his NASCAR race cars ready, as well as travel arrangements for his team. Faison blows his competition out of the water when it comes to management as well as driving. Continue reading

HP To Become An Official Technology Partner of NASCAR

NASCAR announced a new multi-year official agreement with HP, aligning two brands that are committed to innovation. The new alliance designates HP as an Official Technology Partner of NASCAR and marks the expansion of a relationship that began one year ago when the companies collaborated on the development of the Fan and Media Engagement Center (FMEC). The agreement is structured to incentivize continued investment in the FMEC while exploring areas for future innovation throughout the sport.  Continue reading
