After testing at the 1.5-mile Charlotte Motor Speedway last week, Jeb Burton heads to another 1.5-mile track – Kansas Speedway – in two weeks with a focus to turn his season around.

The 2014 season has not been what Burton expected after changing teams, but all that may change at Kansas. Last season Burton won his only truck series win on another 1.5-mile track (Texas) and Kansas is the first race this season on a track of the same size.  Continue reading

Throwback Thursday – Blake Feese Survives Wild ARCA Race at Talladega

Hendrick Motorsports had a young stable of development drivers for the 2004 season.

Kyle Busch was running the full Busch Series schedule and kicked off his season with a win in the ARCA opener at Daytona. Bobby Gerhart Racing teamed up with Hendrick to run Blake Feese, Kyle Krisiloff, and Boston Reid in the team’s No. 5 car in select ARCA races. The partnership started off with a bang, as Feese grabbed his first career win at Nashville in April. Continue reading

Michael Waltrip’s win in the 2001 Daytona 500 for his new team, Dale Earnhardt Inc. (DEI), began a stranglehold on the field at Daytona and Talladega. DEI went on to win ten of 13 Cup races on restrictor plate tracks from February 2001 to February 2004. Continue reading
