Clinching for Talladega

Note: With only one race remaining in this round, repeat winner would expand to mean any driver that has already been eliminated or any driver that is currently in a transfer spot (a spot where if the round was over today, would have moved on).

Possible to Clinch:

Christopher Bell (0 Wins, 2062 Points) – Would clinch on points with 23 Points (tenth and no laps led, 11th and led at least one lap, 12th and led most laps) and a new winner. If there is a repeat winner, would clinch on points with nine Points (24th and no laps led, 25th and led at least one lap, 26th and led most laps). With a win, would clinch a next round spot on wins. Documentary Series Returns to NASCAR RACE HUB for More of the Sport’s Most Iconic Moments and Traditions 

FS1 and NASCAR Productions will present the second season of the acclaimed documentary series Beyond the Wheel as part of FS1’s NASCAR RACE HUB. Created to depict the sport’s most pivotal moments and compelling narratives, the short films focus on influential characters – both past and present – and the unique stories that have shaped NASCAR as a sport since its inception. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Drivers Test at Homestead-Miami Speedway

With the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Ford EcoBoost 400 set for November 20, drivers in NASCAR’s top series made their way to Homestead-Miami Speedway on Tuesday to participate in the first of two scheduled team testing sessions. They are slated to conclude testing Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In Tuesday’s session, teams and their drivers took advantage of a full day’s worth of testing to prepare for November’s championship race. The 11 teams who took part in the tests had the opportunity to gain valuable racing data while experimenting on the Speedway’s 1.5-mile oval. Continue reading →

15th Year as “Official News Site of Snowball Derby” for Speed51.com

The Snowball Derby is the pinnacle of pavement short track racing in America.  The crown jewel event attracts hundreds of race cars, thousands of attendees and even more fans following along through Speed51.com.  Five Flags Speedway announced Tuesday that Speed51.com powered by JEGS will be the “Official News Site of the Snowball Derby” for a 15th consecutive year.

While no amount of coverage will ever substitute for actually being a part of the Snowball Derby experience, 51 will bring fans closer to the action than ever before with several new interactive features, as well as Trackside Now coverage.
