Johnny Sauter Enjoying his Return to Chicagoland Speedway.

After sitting out the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series race last weekend at Gateway, Johnny Sauter with ThorSport Racing is back on track at Chicagoland Speedway for the Camping World 225 on Friday night. Sauter’s hometown is just three hours north of Chicago in Necedah, Wisconsin. That means he has lots of family and friends surrounding him at a track that is special for a number of reasons.

Chad Bryant Racing Carrying the Torch Passed on from Cunningham Motorsports

Chad Bryant Racing is growing and building in a positive direction throughout their first two years as one of the top contending teams in the ARCA Menards Series. Chad Bryant and crew chief Paul Andrews are continuing on with the goals, mentality, and determination they brought to Cunnigham Motorsports while working for them up until Bryant took over the company heading into the 2018 season. 

The Cunningham Motorsports era brought the 2016 ARCA Menards Championship Chase Briscoe, who is now racing the NASCAR Xfinity Series.  With Chad Bryant Racing they are competing with two different prongs with one of their cars driven by second-year driver Joe Graf, Jr behind the wheel driving the No. 77 EAT SLEEP RACE, Ford.  The other machine is the No. 22 with drivers splitting seat time, highlighted by Ty Majeski and 16-year-old upstart Corey Heim.

Venturini Motorsports may not own Chicagoland Speedway, but they have a lease with the option to buy after earning the pole for Thursday night’s ARCA Mendards Series Bounty 150. Michael Self will start at the top spot in his No. 25 Sinclair Lubricants Toyota Camry as he looks to earn back-to-back wins in the event. Teammate Harrison Burton in the No. 20 Venturini Motorsports car qualified fifth.

Ty Majeski Fastest at Chicagoland Speedway with Hometown Team in the Mix

At the top of the ARCA Menards Series, practice speed chart at Chicagoland Speedway is Chad Bryant Racing’s No. 22 with Ty Majeski’s right foot pushing him to a lap of 30.52, equaling a speed of 176.933. Teammate Joe Graf Jr in the No. 77 clocked in 20th but that was after the team thrashed to get the backup car out on the track just in time to turn a lap and be eligible for qualifying coming up at 5:35 pm ET
