Harvick sweeps Michigan doubleheader in the NASCAR Cup Series, FireKeepers Casino 400/ Consumers Energy 400 as a championship favorite with back-to-back victories on consecutive days.

With the regular season winding down, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Michigan for a double-header weekend. Multiple teams are currently sitting on the bubble and looking for an opportunity to race their way into the playoffs. Michigan International Speedway is most likely the best opportunity for these teams to take care of business. With high speeds and long sweeping corners, this track always hosts action-packed races.

Kevin Harvick sweeps Michigan in the NASCAR Cup Series, Consumers Energy 400 on Sunday afternoon for his sixth win of the season.

The victory in Sunday’s Consumers Energy 400 at Michigan International Speedway gave Kevin Harvick’s No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Ford team a weekend race sweep and a whole lot of momentum as the NASCAR Cup Series closes out its regular-season schedule at the end of this month.

Riley Herbst Earns Victory at Michigan to End Drought

Riley Herbst earns victory in the ARCA Menards Series, VizCom 200 on Sunday, August 9th at Michigan International Speedway, ending a three-year drought.

 It had been a while since Riley Herbst had been to Victory Lane.

The 21-year-old from Las Vegas felt it was way too long, and Sunday he was able to rectify that. Herbst’s No 18 Monster/Terrible Herbst/ORCA Toyota led the final 33 laps in winning the VizCom 200 at Michigan International Speedway.

Blaine Perkins sweeps weekend in the Pacific Northwest with another victory in the ARCA West, ENEOS/NAPA Auto Parts 150 on Saturday at Douglas County Speedway.

The only thing that Blaine Perkins failed to accomplish in his weekend trip to the Pacific Northwest was winning the General Tire Pole Award Saturday evening.
