The list of young and up-coming stars in NASCAR Xfinity 11th Annual U.S. Cellular 250 at Iowa Speedway is long, with six of the nine 2018 NASCAR Next class being entered, highlighted by Ryan Vargas making his series debut. From La Mirada, California, the 18-year-old is driving the No. 15 JD Motorsports Cranio Care Bears Chevrolet. Former president of MRN radio, David Hyatt knows what it takes to give the fans what they want after 20 plus years at the helm. He brings that same mentality to his current role as president of Iowa Speedway, now in just his second full season in the position. With the races in 2019 scheduled the way they were, the race track ended up with doubleheader race weekends back-to-back, making for a very busy couple of weeks hosting the NTT Indy Car Series, the ARCA Menards Series last week and both the K&N Pro Series and Xfinity Series under the NASCAR banner this week. Unlike other sports, division rivalries are rare in auto racing. But the NASCAR K&N Pro Series has changed that, bringing the West and East together for combo events annually. With two of these joint events on the 2019 schedule, the first being at Iowa Speedway for the Casey’s General Store 150 for the 17th time, the potential impact on the respective championship campaigns is tremendous, not to mention the bragging rights that go along with it. Maxwell House sponsored the JTG Daugherty Racing No. 37 Chevrolet ZL1 Camaro of Chris Buescher in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series while the USO is an associate sponsor on both team cars, the No. 47 Kroger’s machine of rookie Ryan Preece as well.
