Briscoe & Cunningham Motorsports Wrap up 2016 ARCA Series Championship with Kansas 150 Win

As soon as Chase Briscoe rolled on the track Friday at Kansas Speedway, he became the 2016 ARCA Racing Series champion.  That wasn’t as simple as it sounds, as weather caused the practice sessions to be cancelled, with the originally scheduled qualifying time being used for practice.  As a result of that schedule change, the starting line-up was set by car owner points, with Briscoe on the pole—his tenth time starting there (six as a result of on-track qualifying and four from being the points leader or leader in practice when rain cancelled qualifying). Cunningham Motorsports has announced that Grant Enfinger will become the ninth driver to take the reins of their No. 22 Ford, when teams pull into the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds on Sunday, September 4.  Enfinger, who is the 2015 ARCA Racing Series champion, was the logical choice of co-owners Briggs Cunningham and Kerry Scherer, since Grant is the reigning pole and race winner at the one-mile dirt track in DuQuoin, Illinois. Justin Haley Captures First Career ARCA Win in Dramatic Fashion at The Illinois State Fairgrounds

Before Sunday, 17-year-old Justin Haley hadn’t raced on dirt since early on in his career when he raced mini sprints. Haley made up for lost time, becoming the youngest winner in the history of the Illinois State Fairgrounds at age 17. A crash between the two leaders allowed Haley to claim the lead. He never looked back, capturing the first ARCA win of his young career and second win of the 2016 season for Mason Mitchell Motorsports (MMM). Continue reading →

A Different Perspective on Three Wins in a Row

One year ago, Chase Briscoe made his ARCA Racing Series debut for Cunningham Motorsports at Lucas Oil Raceway (LOR), running for a third team for the organization.  In that race, Briscoe earned his first top-ten finish of tenth.  363 days later, he dominated the last 130 laps of the 200 lap Sioux Chief PowerPEX 200 at the track….taking his third consecutive checkered flag. NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Aspen Dental Eldora Dirt Derby Preview

NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams converge at Eldora Speedway this weekend for the fan favorite event of the season the Aspen Dental Eldora Dirt Derby on Wednesday, July 20th.  FOX Sports 1 coverage begins at 7 pm ET with a green flag around 9 pm ET with radio coverage on MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

The format this weekend on dirt will cover 75 miles over 150 laps during three segments 40-50-60 laps.

A Guide to Eldora

Eldora’s qualifying and race formats differ from the knockout qualifying seen weekly in the NASCAR Camping World Truck series. Below is a guide to how it works.

At Eldora, two-lap, single-truck qualifying determines the starting position for the qualifying races (five in total). A random draw determines the qualifying order with the fastest qualifier earning the Keystone Light Pole Award. Continue reading →
