AJ Allmendinger will add a third race to his Indianapolis Motor Speedway resume later this month, as he will drive for Michael Shank Racing in the Brickyard Grand Prix GRAND-AM Rolex Sports Car Series race Friday, July 26 during the Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard.

Allmendinger will share driving duties in the No. 6 Michael Shank Racing Ford-Riley with Firestone Indy Lights veteran Gustavo Yacaman in the three-hour sports car race on the 13-turn, 2.534-mile Grand Prix road course at IMS. Continue reading →

What more could Penske Racing want? A one-two finish with their drivers, with a win and the point standings lead. That is a very successful day for the organization as they leave Chicagoland Speedway with their heads held high.

When Joey Logano could be relaxing on the beach, he was pulling into victory lane for the second time in the Nationwide Series this season. Just about every other Cup driver took the week off, but Logano was hard at work trying to boost Penske’s No.22 owner championship chances. Well, it was worth skipping a week of vacation to pull into victory lane instead and that’s exactly what Joey Logano did Sunday afternoon at the Chicagoland Speedway. Continue reading →

It will be their time to shine. The Nationwide Series has a rare stand alone weekend at the Chicagoland Speedway this weekend, allowing some of the series’ best to take the spotlight. A few Sprint Cup drivers will also be in the field, but for the most part, it will be the Nationwide Series’ best going for the victory.
