On Friday night, Corey Heim prevails with a NASCAR Truck Series victory at Martinsville Speedway in the Long John Silver’s 200.

MARTINSVILLE, Va. – Corey Heim prevailed at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway late Friday night to earn his first NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series victory of the season after persevering through rain and dry conditions, two red flag periods for weather, and multiple charges by the highly-motivated veteran Kyle Busch.

Christopher Bell takes control late in the race to win on Bristol Dirt in the NASCAR Cup Series Food City Dirt Race on Sunday.

In the middle of the short track stretch, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Bristol Motor Speedway for a showdown on the dirt. This is NASCAR’s third year of running the spring Bristol race on the dirt surface. The idea has caught plenty of attention as NASCAR has also implemented a racing format similar to other dirt racing series. Four heat races were held on Saturday night to set the lineup for Sunday night’s main event.

Christopher Bell wins an intense NASCAR Cup Series race on Bristol Dirt in the Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday.

BRISTOL, Tenn. – Before Sunday night’s Food City Dirt Race at Bristol Motor Speedway, Christopher Bell lamented that a ‘dirt guy’ hadn’t won the NASCAR Cup Series’ only race on the red clay in Thunder Valley.
