If Brendan Gaughan qualifies for the XFINITY Series playoff, the month of August likely will play a large part in his success.
Three of the next four XFINITY races take place on road courses, broken up only by a short-track event at Bristol. But this weekend’s Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International, followed by trips to Mid-Ohio (Aug. 12) and Road America (Aug. 27 after Bristol) are the events that have Gaughan’s attention. NASCAR XFINITY Series teams are taking to the road course this week for the Zippo 200 at The Glen on Saturday, August 5th at 2 pm ET. Coverage begins at 1:30 pm ET on NBCSN, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
Drivers will race 200.9 miles over 82 laps with Stage 1 ending on lap 20, Stage 2 on lap 40, and the last Stage ends on the last lap 82. Continue reading →
The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will begin the final stretch of the season with the Finger Lakes Wine Country 100 at Watkins Glen International in Watkins Glen, N.Y., on Friday, August 4th at 4:45 pm ET and will air on NBCSN.
