The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will head to Watkins Glen International Friday for the Bully Hills Vineyard 125, led by championship points leader Ben Rhodes. There are a number of road-course ringers in the field, most notably, two-time NASCAR Canadian Tire Series champion Andrew Ranger and two-time NASCAR Whelen Euro Series champion Ander Vilarino. Ranger has 19 Canadian Tire wins with 16 on road courses. He’s also won three times in the K&N Pro Series – all on road courses. Vilarino, joined by 2013 championship runner-up Frederic Gabillon at The Glen, has 16 Whelen Euro wins – 15 on road courses. With pit strategy and weather in play at Pocono Raceway, ARCA Racing Series driver Justin Allison earned his first series win in the ModSpace 125.
Justin Allison is the third member of the Allison family to win an ARCA race. Davey won eight times and Bobby once.
“It’s pretty cool to win here,” he said. “The Allison’s have a lot of history at this track. It definitely means a lot to get this first win here.”
Sprint Cup rookie Kyle Larson rocketed to the pole for Saturday’s Pocono ARCA 200 at Pocono Raceway. He laid down a lap of 53.106 seconds (169.472) mph and no other driver could knock him off. Continue reading
The ARCA Racing Series stays in the Northeast this weekend, traveling from New Jersey Motorsports Park to Pocono Raceway.
The teams will tackle the Tricky Triangle on Saturday for the 58th time in ARCA history.
