Joey Logano ran exceptionally well and took a commanding victory Saturday night in the Irwin Tools Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway. His championship-caliber performance provides the No. 22 Shell/Pennzoil Ford Fusion team with the confidence needed to make a run at the title.

Youthful Success Keeps Flowing In The NASCAR Nationwide Series      

Look no further than the NASCAR Nationwide Series for the next wave of young talent. At Mid-Ohio on Saturday, Sunoco Rookie of the Year contender Chris Buescher became the third rookie this season to win, joining Chase Elliott and Ty Dillon. This is the first time since 2005 that there have been multiple rookie winners.

Saturday Night NASCAR Race at Bristol on Alternate Channels in Some Markets

The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Bristol (TN) Motor Speedway is being broadcast live nationally by ABC on Saturday night, Aug. 23, but viewing will be affected in 15 markets due to NFL preseason games airing on local ABC affiliates.

In all 15 markets where the race telecast is being preempted, NASCAR fans who are satellite TV subscribers will be able to watch the race on ESPN alternate channels (DirecTV – channel 209-1; DISH – channel 145). For cable subscribers, the race will air on alternate channels in 11 of the 15 markets. Continue reading
