2015 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race Expands To Showcase Top Talent 

Million-Dollar Payday Awaits Winner of Annual Classic at Charlotte Motor Speedway

Showcasing the sport’s top talent, NASCAR announced changes for the 2015 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race that will elevate the excitement of this annual classic. Race coverage is set for 7 p.m. ET, Saturday, May 16 at Charlotte Motor Speedway (FOX Sports 1, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio).

The field will include race winners from the 2014 and 2015 seasons, as well as all former NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race winners and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champions who are full-time competitors – all of whom will compete for the $1 million prize awarded to the winner. Prior to this change, former NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race winners and NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champions were eligible only if they accomplished the feat within the previous ten seasons. Kurt Busch– Jamie McMurray said it best on twitter in saying,

“The 41 and 4 are in another league right now”.

After a strong showing last week Kurt is on the right track and has been fast all weekend. Look for him and teammate Kevin Harvick to battle it out this weekend. 

Kyle Larson– Larson is a guy who can find speed  by being able to race two grooves and adjust throughout the race. Winning is first Xfinity series race here last year, wouldn’t it be something to see him pull his first Sprint Cup race a year later?

Contenders

Dale Earnhardt Jr – This team has looked great so far in 2015 and I don’t think that goes away at Phoenix. Jr has shown consistent speed and I feel he will be a big player Sunday.

Carl Edwards – The last man to beat Kevin Harvick at Phoenix? This guy. He hasn’t shown great speed so far in 2015 but he has run well here and can get the job done.

Brad Keselowski –  Has not shown speed similar to Logano, but I like how Paul Wolfe has adjusted to the track throughout the race. I see this team getting better and better every week.  Continue reading →
