Chase Elliott’s clutch win in the NASCAR Cup Series, Xfinity 500 at Martinsville Speedway, gives him a chance to win a title at Phoenix Raceway.

The NASCAR Cup Series headed to Martinsville Speedway for one final time to decide which four drivers will be racing for a championship. Heading into Sunday’s race, all four drivers below the cutline faced a must-win situation to advance on to the championship round. It appeared as if the top-four had already solidified their place, but nothing is a guarantee, especially when racing at Martinsville.

Joey Logano earns clutch win in the NASCAR Cup Series Hollywood Casino 400 on Sunday, October 18th at Kansas Speedway.

One final round remains for NASCAR Cup Series teams to move on to the championship race. Beginning this past Sunday at Kansas Speedway, playoff competitors were in for a 400-mile battle. A victory here gives the winning team two more races to earn stage points, and those points will give them an edge in the championship race. With some big contenders already knocked out, some teams are trying to take advantage and advance to the championship for the first time.

Chase Elliott’s dominance continues on the road courses with another victory in the Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

There was one final race remaining in the second round of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs. With four more drivers on the verge of elimination, the previous two races at Las Vegas and Talladega were no walk in the park. The Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval played host for the last race of the Round of 12, and this alone has most teams coming to the track with worry on their faces. Throw in some rain showers, and this race was up for grabs to anyone able to keep their car together.

In only his fifth NASCAR Cup Series season, Chase Elliott is proving himself a road course master, easily besting the field Sunday at the Charlotte ROVAL and more importantly, the 24-year old continues to establish himself as a perennial championship contender.

‘Cash or Pass’ Picks are for the NASCAR Cup Series Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway on Sunday, October 11th.

The ROVAL was a shocking addition to the NASCAR playoff schedule during the 2018 season, and in both years since, it has provided a crazy day of racing that has ended with four drivers’ seasons coming to an end. Matters are no different in 2020, with the ROVAL acting as the last race in the Round of 12. Coming into the race, Kyle Busch, Clint Bowyer, Austin Dillon, and Aric Almirola are well outside of the cutline, with everyone other than Busch likely needing a win to move on to the Round of 8. Throw in the possibility of a thunderstorm, and Sunday should provide a wild day of racing. Picking a race like this is never easy, but here goes.
