Calling Knoxville, Tennessee his home town and Bristol Motor Speedway his home track, NASCAR K&N Pro Series East driver, Chad Finchum captured his first series victory in the Pitt Lite 125 with Martin McClure Racing on Saturday night.

The local team is in their second season, with NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers Eric McClure and Hal Martin as team owners. Early last week they announced their plans for a part-time K&N East schedule this year, with Finchum first up in their No. 39 car at Bristol. Continue reading

NASCAR Weekend Preview – Greenville Pickens

 

NASCAR K&N Pro Series East competitors are heating up their battle for the championship title heading into their third race of the season, the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville Pickens Speedway in South Carolina.  Competitors take to the track at 7 pm ET on Saturday, March 26th.

Spencer Davis and Tyler Dippel enter this weekend’s race with just one point difference. Davis, 17, from Dawsonville, Georgia, is at the top of the standings with 85 points after earning back-to-back runner-up finishes in the first two races of the season. In his six K&N East starts, Davis has finishes no lower than sixth place. Continue reading

NASCAR K&N East Points Leader Decision at Mobile International Speedway

NASCAR K&N Pro Series East drivers are anxious to decide their points leader after K&N West driver, Todd Gilliland won their season opener at New Smyrna in February. Their wait is over with the Mobile 200 starting today at 3 pm ET at Mobile International Speedway.

Several contenders are ready to show their talent behind the wheel with hopes of taking over the points lead when the checkered flag waves today.

Spencer Davis heads into Mobile as the K&N East leader in the series standings. The rookie is overcoming a destroyed car after getting into an accident during the extra lap at New Smyrna. Despite those unfortunate circumstances, the 17-year-old Dawsonville, Georgia, native persevered and finished runner-up and the top K&N East driver. Continue reading

After a competitive Combine event last October, six drivers were selected to the 2016 NASCAR Drive for Diversity® (D4D) class and will join the industry’s premier development program for multicultural and female drivers, and pit crew members.

Talented drivers from across the Americas will compete for Rev Racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, and attempt to follow in the footsteps of D4D graduates and current NASCAR national series drivers Kyle Larson, Darrell Wallace Jr. and Daniel Suárez. Regan Smith Pulls Away to Dramatic XFINITY Win at Dover

Regan Smith charged from fourth to first during a restart on lap 121 and stayed there for the rest of the Hisense 200 NASCAR XFINITY Series race at Dover International Speedway Saturday, posting his second victory of the season and working his way back into championship contention.

After a 31-minute rain delay, Smith passed Kyle Busch, Denny Hamlin and leader Elliott Sadler on the restart on lap 121 of 200, staved off intense pressure from Hamlin midway through the last green-flag run and pulled away as the Joe Gibbs Racing teammates battled for second place. Continue reading
