ThorSport has not one, but two drivers at the top of NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series standings following a record-setting performance at Michigan this weekend.

Team drivers Johnny Sauter and Matt Crafton finished 1-2 in Saturday’s Careers For Veterans 200, blazing away from the field in the fastest race in series history with an average speed of 161.1ten mph. ThorSport Racing finishes 1-2 in the Career for Veterans 200 at Michigan International Speedway

For Johnny Sauter this is his first win of the season in the Camping World Truck Series in a tight finish of just 0.433 seconds over his ThorSport Racing teammate, Matt Crafton, finishing second.

Pit strategy was the difference between first and second with the race leader Crafton pitting on lap 97 for fuel allowing Sauter to regain the lead on his way to the checkered flag and victory lane. Sauter led 21 laps en route to his tenth career victory in the Camping World Truck Series. He also takes over the points lead from Ryan Blaney. Continue reading

Extra! Extra! Pocono Adds Mileage

Pocono Raceway is extending the show this year as the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race is now for 150 miles instead of its previous 125. The extra mileage won’t be too much of an added burden to the drivers’ stamina; three of the last four races have ended with a green/white checkered finish in 2010, 2011 and 2013. Continue reading

Darrell Wallace Jr. Holds On for Victory in Thrilling Eldora Race

In one of the most dominating performances the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series has seen this season, Darrell Wallace Jr. ended up in victory lane Wednesday night at Eldora Speedway. Despite his lack of dirt-track racing experience, he was able to beat some of the best in the business en route to victory.

To start off the race, it seemed like his teammate Erik Jones would be the one dominating the night. However, his quick start went downhill fast as he suffered some tire issues. Continue reading

On the Fourth of July, it was only fitting that the Subway Firecracker 250 featured fireworks at the finish. An intense last two laps allowed many players to emerge in the quest for victory. Once the checkered flag flew, it was JR Motorsports sweeping the top two spots as Kasey Kahne claimed victory. He barely edged out teammate Regan Smith who was strongest throughout the night.
