Kyle Weatherman made a name for himself in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards last season. Driving for Cunningham Motorsports, Weatherman competed in 15 of the 20 races on the series’ schedule and earned his first series victory at New Jersey Motorsports Park.

Weatherman also recorded runner-up finishes at Salem, Iowa, Springfield, DuQuoin and Kansas en route to earning the 2015 SCOTT Rookie of the Year award and the Calypso Lemonade Short Track Challenge championship.

Weatherman changed teams during the off-season, singing with Lira Motorsports to pilot the team’s No. 58 Ford and compete for the championship. Continue reading →

NASCAR Announces 2017 National Series Schedules

Unprecedented Industry Collaboration Triggers NASCAR’s Earliest Schedule Release

NASCAR today announced the 2017 schedules for its three national series, giving fans and stakeholders a significant head start in planning for next season’s thrilling slate.

A credit to unprecedented industry collaboration, specifically the five-year sanctioning agreement between NASCAR and its tracks, the sanctioning body finalized its 2017 schedules months ahead of previous years’ release.

The result: Three unique schedules featuring race tracks that have hosted record-setting races already this season, with the majority of the slate still remaining. Continue reading →

Driver of the No. 98 GREE Chevrolet for Mason Mitchell Motorsports (MMM), Gus Dean earned his first career ARCA win in the General Tire 200 at the 2.66 mile Talladega Superspeedway.

The Bluffton, South Carolina native selected the outside line for the afternoon’s final restart coming with four to go. Veteran Tommy Hessert gave Dean a big push down the backstretch pulling him even with Josh Williams. A wreck behind the leaders would end the race and send the ARCA officials to the video monitor which declared Dean as the race winner. Continue reading →
