Wasn’t it just yesterday that Jeff Gordon ran his last race at Homestead-Miami Speedway?

Last season we were watching Jeff Gordon as one of the last four drivers eligible to race for the Sprint Cup Series championship – many were hopeful he might finally win his fifth title. But, then the checkered flag waved and as the newly crowned champion, Kyle Busch celebrated his first title, Gordon and his family quietly left the track, closing the door on his drive for five, and moving on to a new horizon.

Gordon has been busy planning the next chapter of his career in the FOX broadcast booth and we were anxious for the season to begin to see him in his new role – off the track. The wait is over and we were ready for Gordon’s broadcast debut at Daytona International Speedway during Speedweeks.  Continue reading

Dalton Sargeant Joins Venturini Motorspsorts for 2016 ARCA Season

Last week, Venturini Motorsports announced Dalton Sargeant is joining them for the 2016 season in the No. 55 Toyota Camry for a multi-race deal in the ARCA Racing Series. On Thursday, Sargeant, a Boca Raton, Florida native, announced with Venturini Motorsports on Toyota’s Pit Pass stage during Daytona Speedweeks, unveiling his No. 55 Toyota Camry.

The 17-year old, high school senior is competing in 15 of the 19 remaining events beginning at Salem Speedway on April 24. Sargeant is also driving his Toyota at Talladega, Toledo, New Jersey Motorsports Park, both Pocono dates, Michigan, Winchester, Iowa, Lucas Oil Raceway, Berlin, Salem, Chicago, Kentucky and the ARCA Series finale at Kansas. NASCAR Reaches Five-Year Sanction Agreements with National Series Tracks

NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Will Visit 23 Markets in 2016;

Popular ‘NASCAR Goes West’ Returns for Second Year

NASCAR today announced agreements with 23 tracks to field NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races for the next five years. Additionally, 24 tracks will host NASCAR XFINITY Series races through 2020.

NASCAR also announced its 2016 schedule for both of these national series. The schedule and actual placement of the dates within each given season’s schedule beyond 2016 will be part of the on-going discussions between NASCAR and the tracks. Details are being finalized for the 2016 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series schedule to be announced at a later time. Continue reading
