The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series kicks off its three-race NASCAR Goes West trip with Sunday’s Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Following its trip to Vegas, the Sprint Cup Series heads to Phoenix International Raceway before closing its West Coast road trip at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, California.

Joe Gibbs Racing started the 2016 season exactly how they finished the 2015 campaign – with a win, and a bunch of strong performances.
Denny Hamlin won the Daytona 500, Kyle Busch finished third, Carl Edwards placed fifth and Matt Kenseth came in 14th despite leading 40 laps. Martin Truex Jr., from JGR technical partner Furniture Row Racing, finished runner-up.
