Todd Gilliland Does it Again! Historic Streak at Four Consecutive Wins

Gilliland Matches 50-Year-Old K&N Pro Series Mark with Fourth Straight Win

Todd Gilliland’s unbeaten streak has reached historic proportions.

The 15-year-old Sherrills Ford, North Carolina, driver went from third to first following a late-race restart at Kern County Raceway Park en route to capturing Saturday night’s NAPA Auto Parts 150. It was Gilliland’s second NASCAR K&N Pro Series West win in as many starts this season. More impressively, it was Gilliland’s fourth win in his first four career NASCAR K&N Pro Series starts.

With the win, Gilliland matched the record set by International Motorsports Hall of Famer Dan Gurney. Gurney won the first four NASCAR Pacific Coast Late Model Series races he entered — combination races with the then-Grand National Series at California’s old Riverside Speedway. The Pacific Coast Late Model, which began in 1954, has evolved into the current NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. Continue reading →

Now three for three with Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 Win

Making it look easy to compete, Todd Gilliland wins for third consecutive race in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West.

Gilliland started from the pole and took the lead back from Ryan Partridge on lap 123 to win the Toyota/NAPA Auto Parts 150 at California’s Irwindale Speedway. His victory was his second consecutive victory in his second straight start in the West.

More impressively, the third-generation driver from Sherrills Ford, NC, now joins the history books as a driver to earn three wins in his first three career starts in both the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West. Continue reading →

After winning the inaugural SPEARS SRL Southwest Tour Winter Showdown last year, Super Late Model driver, Bubba Pollard, from Senoia, GA added an exclamation point by winning again this year at Kern County Raceway. The first two days, Pollard was not sure, his team would pull off another victory because he was having problems with his car. With just 12 points separating the top-four drivers before the start of the Casino Arizona 100 at Phoenix International Raceway, leader Chris Eggleston did what he needed to bring his team owner his sixth championship title by the end of the NASCAR K&N West season finale.
