It’s now official, 2015 is Jeff Gordon’s last full-time season in the Sprint Cup Series of NASCAR.  His announcement today, adds significance as the season opener Daytona 500 is exactly one month away. After contending for his fifth championship last year, this is Gordon’s last chance at his ‘drive for five.’

Daytona International Speedway marks the beginning of his closing Sprint Cup Series journey and each race from there to Homestead-Miami gives Gordon the chance to add emphasis to his already legendary legacy.

Harvick wins at Homestead to secure first NASCAR Sprint Cup championship

The fastest driver doesn’t always win a race—or a championship—but on Sunday at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Kevin Harvick did both.

Driving a No. 4 Stewart-Haas Racing Chevrolet that has been the class of the field for most of the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, Harvick won Sunday’s Ford EcoBoost 400 at the 1.5-mile intermediate track and claimed his first premier series championship after a three-lap drag race against underdog title contender Ryan Newman. Kenseth holds off Larson for Nationwide win at Homestead, as Penske wins owner’s title

Charging away from a pack of pursuers on the final restart, Matt Kenseth scored his first NASCAR Nationwide Series win since October of last year in Saturday’s Ford EcoBoost 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Chase Elliott, who had clinched the driver’s championship last Saturday in Phoenix, finished 17th after scraping the outside wall late in the race. Brad Keselowski delivered the Nationwide Series owner’s championship to Roger Penske with an eighth-place result in the No. 22 Team Penske Ford. Continue reading

After breathtaking three-wide racing during the final 20-lap green-flag run, Darrell “Bubba” Wallace Jr. held off hard-charging Keystone Light Polesitter Kyle Larson to win Friday night’s Ford EcoBoost 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
