225Camping World Truck Series drivers head to Chicagoland Speedway for the EnjoyIllinois.com 225 on Friday, September 13th. Television coverage begins at 8pm ET with radio coverage on MRN, Sirius XM, channel 90.  The green flag waves at about 8:30pm for 225 miles and 150 laps of racing action. 

Will history repeat back-to-back for James Buescher?

Similar to last season, the second half of the season is proving 2012 series’ champion James Buescher’s time of the year. Buescher picked up his first win at Iowa Speedway on Sunday and now he returns to Chicagoland Speedway where he won last year.  With his second victory in the last four races, the Texas native now sits just 37-points behind points leader Matt Crafton. The Fan Appreciation 200 presented by New Holland will feature the Camping World Truck Series at Iowa Speedway on Sunday, September 8th. Television coverage begins at 1:30pm ET with radio coverage on MRN, Sirius XM channel 90.

Four different drivers under the age of 21 have won Camping World Truck Series races in 2013, including the most recent winner Chase Elliott at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park last weekend. Elliott also made history as the youngest winner in the history of the series at 17 years, nine months and four days. Ryan Blaney – 18 years, eight months and 15 days –  was the previous record holder with his win at Iowa Speedway last year. Continue reading

Michael Self started racing go-carts at age 11, switched to racing open-wheel at age 16 and just two years later, he turned to racing late model stock cars.

In 2006, Self became a member of America’s Champ Car team at Rotax Grand Finals in Portugal and by 2007 he was a Champ Car Rotax Scholarship winner.

Self made his NASCAR debut in 2009 entering two races in the K&N Pro Series West/KNPSW and by 2010, in 12 races, he finished as runner-up for Rookie of the Year and eighth in the point standings. In 2011, Self followed up his rookie year by finishing seventh in the series’ point standings. 2012 brought three wins, eight top-fives and nine top-tens in 15 races, with Self finishing sixth in the series’ point standings.   Continue reading

Bryan Ortiz, a Puerto Rico native, is with Rev Racing and part of NASCAR‘s Drive for Diversity program for the third consecutive year in 2013.

Ortiz made his NASCAR K&N Pro Series East début at Bristol Motor Speedway in March 2012 and finished the season fifth in the overall standings and second in rookie points on the strength of nine top-ten finishes across the 14-race season. Rev Racing Driver Earns His First K&N East Victory

Daniel Suárez is ready to declare Columbus Motor Speedway as his home track.

The 21-year-old from Monterrey, Mexico doesn’t have an official home track in the United States, but the .333-mile in Ohio certainly is an adopted one as Suárez picked up his first career NASCAR K&N Pro Series East victory in the NAPA 150 last Saturday night. His previous two starts at the track resulted in fifth-place finishes. Continue reading
