From NASCAR Next members to second generation drivers and fresh faces looking to make a name for themselves, take a look at the younger ‘drivers to watch’ this weekend at Martinsville Speedway

Saturday’s Kroger 250 marks the first Camping World Truck Series race of the season that drivers between the ages of 16 and 18 can compete. Wheelmen from that age group can only race on road courses or tracks 1.25 miles or less in length. Continue reading

John Hunter Nemechek raced to the win taking the 47th Annual Snowball Derby at Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL on Sunday, December 7th, 2014 in his third start in the event.

Nemechek, who took the lead at lap 286, was looking to keep the top-spot in his second of two races at Five Flags this weekend. He finished second in the Snowflake 100 which had finished mere hours earlier but with a gutsy pit call and undeniable talent, the rising star brought home his crowning achievement in the Pensacola win.  Continue reading

Last season’s NASCAR Camping World Truck Series visit to Canadian Tire Motorsport Park in Bowmanville, Ontario proved a battle of the sport’s young blood with Chase Elliot at 17 years and nine months, shaking off Ty Dillon at 21 years and six months, on the last lap to become the youngest winner in NASCAR national series history – a record broken two months later by NASCAR Next member Erik Jones at 17 years, five months, nine days.

Sunday’s Chevrolet Silverado 250 could make history once again as John Hunter Nemechek at 17 years and two months and NASCAR Next prospects Gray Gaulding at 16 years and six months and Cole Custer at 16 years and seven months have a shot to break the record for youngest race winner. Family Feud: Nemecheks Strikes Up Friendly Rivalry

A father-son rivalry is brewing in the Camping World Truck Series.

Joe Nemechek and his son John Hunter, who share the No. 8 SWM-NEMCO Motorsports Toyota Tundra SWM, have adopted a “friendly family challenge” this season, comparing finishes and laps led.
