It’s an even better day on the race track. Just ask Brad Keselowski, who won his fourth straight NASCAR Nationwide Series race Saturday at Watkins Glen International.
Keselowski’s 1.418-second victory over Penske Racing teammate Sam Hornish Jr. in the Zippo 200 was his fourth in his last four NNS starts this season (though not in consecutive events) and the 24th of his career. Continue reading →
What more could Penske Racing want? A one-two finish with their drivers, with a win and the point standings lead. That is a very successful day for the organization as they leave Chicagoland Speedway with their heads held high.
When Joey Logano could be relaxing on the beach, he was pulling into victory lane for the second time in the Nationwide Series this season. Just about every other Cup driver took the week off, but Logano was hard at work trying to boost Penske’s No.22 owner championship chances. Typically burnouts are not done when its raining, but that didn’t keep Brad Keselowski from trying, after winning the Feed the Children 300 at Kentucky Speedway on Friday night.
After a rain delay, NASCAR declared Brad Keselowski the winner, 30 laps short of the scheduled finish. And despite the rain, Keselowski did donuts on a wet slippery frontstretch without the usual smoke cloud signaling his victory celebration. Continue reading →
Dicing through the pack toward the end of Saturday afternoon’s Nationwide Series Race at Michigan allowed Regan Smith to take the lead after Parker Kligerman had to pit. Kligerman played the rain game, but failed and that left a golden opportunity for Smith. This is win number two for Smith on the season and increases his point lead to much more than a full-race. It all came together for Smith and allowing him to leave the track in a better place than he entered on Saturday. Continue reading →
