ARCA Racing Series Releases 2017 Schedule

The 65th consecutive season for the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards is set in stone, as Series officials released the 2017 schedule Thursday to include 20 race-dates across 13 states.

Another healthy mix of superspeedways, paved short tracks, dirt tracks and a road course will highlight the 2017 tour, including returns trips to Elko Speedway in Minnesota and Road America in Wisconsin. AJ Allmendinger Captures Third Straight Top-Ten Finish at Martinsville

With the rumors swirling on whether JTG-Daugherty Racing will move to two cars in 2017, AJ Allmendinger is certainly giving early indications that the team may be ready to do so.

After delivering two top-ten finishes the past two weeks at Kansas Speedway and Talladega Superspeedway, Allmendinger came to Martinsville and made it three-for-three with a tenth-place showing in Sunday’s Goody’s 500. Continue reading →

Brad Keselowski Plans to Race for Wins Despite Wicked Kansas Finish

Brad Keselowski had a terrible day Sunday afternoon at Kansas Speedway, but the 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion isn’t ready to count himself out of a championship yet.

While running inside the top-ten on lap 189 of Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400, Keselowski’s No. 2 Miller Lite Ford Fusion drifted up the track and directly in front of fellow Chaser Denny Hamlin, but got loose in the process causing Hamlin to hit him from behind.

The contact sent Keselowski sliding wildly and uncontrollably spinning into the infield grass, where the splitter of his car tore into the sodded grass causing colossal front-end damage to his car. Continue reading →

Elliott has his Marching Orders for Talladega

After disastrous results in the first two races of the Chase’s Round of 12, Chase Elliott will be on a win-or-bust mission next Sunday at Talladega.

It’s not that Elliott has run poorly. At Charlotte, he led 103 laps before being swept up in a late wreck not of his making.

In Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400 at Kansas Speedway, he passed eventual race winner Kevin Harvick for the lead on lap 169, only to see his winning chances disintegrate six laps later when he returned to pit road for an unscheduled stop after a tire rub flattened his left rear. Continue reading →
