Optimism Abounds at NASCAR’s West Coast Media Day in Las Vegas

Optimism and excitement were the common themes that flowed through NASCAR’s West Coast Media Day at The Bellagio’s Hyde night club in Las Vegas on Thursday.

Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers Kyle Larson, Daniel Suarez and Ryan Blaney joined Las Vegas Motor Speedway President Chris Powell, Auto Club Speedway President Dave Allen and Phoenix Raceway President Bryan Sperber to speak to the media at the exclusive club. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series makes its triumphant return to NBC on Sunday, July 5 with the broadcast of the Coke Zero 400 presented by Coca-Cola.

Coverage starts with the pre-race show at 7 p.m. ET and the race broadcast begins at 7:45 p.m. ET.

Rick Allen (play-by-play), 21-time NSCS winner Jeff Burton (analyst) and Daytona 500-winning crew chief Steve Letarte (analyst) are commentators from the booth, while Dave Burns, Mike Massaro, Marty Snider and Kelli Stavast will report from pit road. Continue reading

NBC Sports Add Marty Snider & Kelli Stavast to Broadcast Team

nbc-nascar1Experienced, Charlotte-based Reporters Join Jeff Burton, Rick Allen and Steve Letarte on NBC Sports’ New NASCAR On-Air Crew

NBC Sports Group has reached agreements with motorsports reporters Marty Snider and Kelli Stavast, will contribute to NBC Sports’ upcoming NASCAR studio and live race coverage on NBC and NBCSN.  Snider and Stavast, each of whom have years of motorsports experience, will operate out of Charlotte, N.C., home to many of the sport’s race teams and drivers.
