Contenders
Joey Logano – Very fast race car and is again on the pole, needs to keep his speed and be able to keep up with the track throughout the race though, which has been his achilles heel all season.
Jimmie Johnson – Has been relatively streaky so far this yeas but you really can’t count him out, especially on a mile and half race track. With wins at Atlanta and Texas already I think he will be a serious contender tonight.Continue reading →

After being suspended for three NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races earlier this season after an alleged domestic violence incident, Kurt Busch won Sunday’s postponed Toyota Owners 400 at Richmond International Raceway in a dominating performance, virtually locking up a spot in this year’s Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup. Joey Logano was enjoying such a perfect day at Bristol Motor Speedway that the driver of the No. 22 Team Penske Ford kept expecting something to go wrong.
It never did.
Logano led all 300 laps of Saturday’s Drive to Stop Diabetes 300 at the .533-mile short track, a record for laps led in a NASCAR XFINITY Series race. It was the first time a driver led every lap in a single race since Kyle Busch accomplished the feat in winning the Virginia 529 College Savings 250 at Richmond on Sept. 5, 2014. Continue reading →
