New NASCAR Next Class Already Making Mark on Track

Five of the six NASCAR K&N Pro Series race winners in 2015 are 21 years old or younger. The championship points leaders in both the East and West are 17 and 16. And a 17-year-old just became the highest-finishing female in the 61-year history of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West.

It is fitting that as fans celebrate Jeff Gordon’s final year of competition, the ranks of NASCAR is becoming filled with young drivers battling to one day fill that void. Kyle Benjamin Grabs his First K&N East Victory at Bristol Motor Speedway

Grabbing his first K&N Pro Series East win Saturday night at Bristol Motor Speedway, 17-year-old, Kyle Benjamin is one to watch this season.

The PittLite 125 is Benjamin’s seventh series start and he represents the third different winner in as many events for the 2015 season. Austin Hill won at Daytona, and William Byron celebrated his first series victory at Greenville-Pickens. Continue reading

ARCA Herr’s Chase the Taste 200 at Winchester Preview

The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards heads to the high banks of the half-mile Winchester Speedway in Indiana. ARCA cars travel around the track in 15-16 seconds a lap, making it one of the fastest half-mile tracks in the country.

In last year’s race, ARCA veteran Frank Kimmel held off a hard-charging Austin Wayne Self to score his 79th career win and tie Iggy Katona for the all-time record. Kimmel has always been good on the Winchester track with six wins with his first coming in 1996.  The defending ARCA champ is still looking for his first win of 2014. The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards heads to the 3/8 mile Elko Speedway in Minnesota this weekend.  The track is the shortest on the circuit.

ARCA Great Railing 150 Preview

The ARCA Racing Series will turn left and right only once this season at New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) this weekend.

It will be the seventh race held at the facility, with Justin Allgaier winning the inaugural event in 2008. The driver to beat the last three years has been Andrew Ranger, who is the three-time and defending winner of the race. Ranger had to battle current Nationwide Series driver Chase Elliott for the victory the last two seasons. The Canadian driver’s background in road-course racing has contributed to his success in ARCA, as well as in the K&N Series.
