On occasion, a great story sneaks up and seemingly it suddenly comes to light, leaving some wondering how did that happen? The story behind Ryan Truex this season is that kind of story. Last January, Ryan Truex wasn’t sure if he’d be racing this season, and now he’s third in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series contending for the series’ championship title. Kyle Busch Breaks Jinx with Sprint Cup Win at Kansas

Kyle Busch finally overcame his gremlins at Kansas Speedway in a race that left Martin Truex Jr. overcome with frustration.

On Saturday night—in stark contrast to many of his earlier misadventures at the 1.5-mile track—Busch waited until after the Go Bowling 400 to destroy his No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota, a feat he accomplished during his celebratory burnout.

Busch took the lead for good on lap 231 of 267 after Truex, who led a race-high 172 laps, brought his car back to pit road on lap 215 because of a loose wheel, the result of a bolt that broke and prevented the tire from mounting properly during a green-flag stop three laps earlier. NASCAR Sprint Cup Series teams are racing the Food City 500 for 266.5 miles equaling 500 laps at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday, April 17th. FOX will broadcast the race beginning with their pre-race show at 12:30 pm ET and a green flag around 1 pm ET. Radio coverage is on PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

Triple Play: Kyl3 Busch Visits Top Track in Search of Third Straight Win

Baseball season has started, but Kyle Busch may turn the first triple play of 2016.

Busch will attempt to win his third consecutive Sprint Cup Series race in Sunday’s Food City 500 at Bristol Motor Speedway on Sunday.

Busch achieved the feat last season when he placed first at Kentucky, New Hampshire and Indianapolis. If Kyle Busch wins this weekend, he’ll have won three consecutive races in back-to-back season. The last person to do that: Jeff Gordon, in 1998-99. Continue reading →

Opportunistic Kyle Busch sped away from the rest of the field after a restart with 33 laps left in Saturday night’s Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway and collected his second straight NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory.
