McReynolds’ First Career Win Comes In K&N Pro Combo Event At Iowa

Keeping the trend of new winners at Iowa Speedway intact, Brandon McReynolds became the 12th different winner in 12 meetings at Iowa between the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and West.

The soon-to-be 24-year-old driver from Mooresville, North Carolina, picked up his first NASCAR K&N Pro Series win Saturday night in the Casey’s General Stores 150. McReynolds, driving the No. 16 NAPA Auto Parts car for Bill McAnally Racing, became the second West driver in 12 races to win the combination race at Iowa. It was McReynolds’ 34th career K&N Pro Series start. Continue reading

Rev Racing, NASCAR Scout Drivers At 11th Annual NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine

Twenty multicultural and female race car drivers from the United States, Canada and Latin America will take part in the 11th Annual NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D) Combine Oct. 13-15 with hopes of earning a spot in the 2015 NASCAR D4D Class in partnership with Rev Racing.

 

The NASCAR D4D Combine – being held at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virgina, for the fourth consecutive year – has been the proving ground for several current NASCAR national series drivers, including NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate Kyle Larson, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series three-time race winner Darrell Wallace Jr. and NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series driver Daniel Suarez, who recently announced a full-year NASCAR Nationwide Series ride with Joe Gibbs Racing for 2015. ThorSport Packs 1-2 Punch

ThorSport has not one, but two drivers at the top of NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series standings following a record-setting performance at Michigan this weekend.

Team drivers Johnny Sauter and Matt Crafton finished 1-2 in Saturday’s Careers For Veterans 200, blazing away from the field in the fastest race in series history with an average speed of 161.1ten mph. The new mark demolished the previous record of 154.737 mph set at Texas Motor Speedway in 2012.  Continue reading
