Chase Elliott Teams with NAPA and JR Motorsports for 2014 Season

Driver Chase Elliott will compete full-time in the NASCAR Nationwide Series for JR Motorsports starting in 2014 and do so with NAPA AUTO PARTS as his full-season primary sponsor, the team announced today.

With Elliott as its driver, the 2014 season will mark NAPA’s 19th in NASCAR sponsorship. NAPA (National Automotive Parts Association) has more than 6,000 stores nationwide with more than 400,000 quality parts and accessories for automotive and industrial applications – the most extensive inventory in the industry. NAPA headquarters is in Atlanta, Ga., just a short distance from Elliott’s hometown of Dawsonville, Ga. Continue reading →

The latest move of NASCAR’s Nationwide Series Silly Season comes as an announcement from Joe Gibbs Racing indicating Sam Hornish Jr is sharing seat time in the No. 54 with Kyle Busch in the Nationwide Series for the 2014 season. Continue reading →

Rick Allen Named Lead Race Announcer for NBC Sports Group‘s Upcoming NASCAR Coverage

Rick Allen brings more than a decade of motorsports broadcasting experience

NBC’s Sports Group announces that Rick Allen has signed a multi-year agreement to serve as the lead race announcer for NBC’s upcoming NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series coverage beginning in 2015. Alongside Allen in the NBC Sports Broadcast booth will be current driver Jeff Burton, who also announced that he will be joining NBC’s multi-platform NASCAR coverage.  Continue reading →
