NASCAR XFINITY Series teams will race 300 miles during 200 laps in the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 at Texas Motor Speedway, Friday, April 8th. FOX Sports 1 will begin their pre-race coverage at 8 pm ET with a green flag around 8:30 pm ET and radio coverage by PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, channel 90.

Suárez Rides to Texas Anticipating to Build on his Early Momentum

After a two-week hiatus, the NASCAR XFINITY Series is back in action Friday night at Texas Motor Speedway for the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300. One driver especially excited to get back to racing is series standings leader Daniel Suárez. Marcos Ambrose Dominates for a Victory in the Nationwide Series Zippo 200

Marcos Ambrose was the man to beat during the NASCAR Nationwide Series Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International and there was no denying his Richard Petty Motorsports No. 09 team a visit to Victory Lane on Saturday afternoon. Ambrose had full control of the lead – 47 of 82 laps – en route to winning his fourth consecutive race at this track. This was Ambrose’s first series win of the 2014 season and his fifth series career victory.

Ambrose is now looking for Dale Jr’s broom – after the No. 88 team swept the races at Pocono last weekend – with an eye toward sweeping this weekend with a Sprint Cup Series win in the Cheez-it 355 on Sunday at 1 pm ET on ESPN.  Continue reading

Aric Almirola Wins Rain-Shortened Coke Zero 400 at Daytona

It was throwback Sunday at Daytona International Speedway with an old-school starting time, and an old-school win.

The green flag waved in the morning. Mid-afternoon, Richard Petty Motorsports’ famed No. 43 was back in Daytona’s Gatorade Victory Lane thanks to Aric Almirola’s rain-shortened win in the 56th Annual Coke Zero 400 Powered By Coca-Cola. With the emphasis on winning in 2014, a team like Richard Petty Motorsports needs to step up their game. To stay competitive, RPM has to contend on a whole new level this season. They haven’t been known to rack up the wins, so doing everything in their power to make that more of a possibility is crucial for their success.
