Kasey Kahne made Team Hendrick proud on Sunday at Pocono after he took the win in a day they totally dominated. A wild afternoon started with pole-sitter Jimmie Johnson leading, but when he ran into trouble just shy of the mid-point of the race, Kahne rose to the top spot. Then when a late caution sprung a dash for the win, it was Jeff Gordon taking over the lead but he was passed on another late restart by Kahne. It was a decent day for Hendrick teams to say the least and they’ll be sipping the champagne tonight. Continue reading

The longest race of the season had some of the most bizarre events unfold throughout the night. It started out with a cable falling from the sky (actually a camera) and then the full-moon implemented a series of accidents towards the end of the race. Once the smoke settled, Kevin Harvick was standing in victory lane for the second time in the Coca Cola 600. This race always features a twist of events around the 500 mile mark and Sunday night’s event didn’t disappoint in that category. The action was all-over the track throughout the night and each occurrence in the race will be making headlines in the week to come. Continue reading

For the fourth time in his career, Jimmie Johnson scored victory and a million dollars in the Sprint All-Star Race. He did it in classic Jimmie Johnson fashion by not coming alive until the last segment and then doing an all-out blitz to the finish. The race was rather calm, but the historic run by Johnson makes up for some of the vacant storylines of the race.

The race didn’t get far when the green-flag fell because of rain invading the track and causing a red-flag rain-delay for 41 minutes and 28 seconds. Before the delay, Brad Keselowski broke a transmission, taking himself out of contention for the victory. When the delay ended, Kurt Busch was able to stay up front and win the first segment.
