The first half of the 2014 season has disappointed NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Greg Biffle and his No. 16 Roush Fenway Racing team and they are working hard to turn it around with a win before the Chase begins. With just four races before the first Chase race at Chicagoland Speedway in September, Michigan International Speedway is where they want that breakthrough victory.  Continue reading

A well-timed caution helped get Carl Edwards to the front of the field, and the driver of the No. 99 Roush Fenway Ford did the rest.

Roush-Fenway Racing is ready to show that the continuity in the organization from last season will pay off in 2014. With losing Matt Kenseth and gaining Ricky Stenhouse Jr. came big change for RFR, but now that they have a fully adjusted year down, they are set to get back to their winning ways. Both Greg Biffle and Carl Edwards can put together title-contending seasons, as they have done in the past. 2013 didn’t include an RFR entry contending closely for the title like in years past, but 2014 opens the opportunity for it to happen again. With the new emphasis on winning, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. could also easily win and compete as well; putting success in the air at RFR for 2014. Continue reading

Its debut set records. Its encore offered a taste of what’s to come.

“It” is the innovative “multi-zone tread” Goodyear tire that the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series drivers tested Thursday at Kansas Speedway, and will use during Sunday’s Hollywood Casino 400, the fourth race in the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup (2 p.m. ET on ESPN, Motor Racing Network Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio).

Goodyear developed two zones on the right side tires: the outer zone dubbed the “traction zone” – which was made of a sticky and more grip-oriented compound – and the “inner zone” – also known as the “endurance zone” – which was built with a firmer compound to help prolong the tire life.  Continue reading
