Matt Kenseth may have won Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Kansas Speedway, but Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski provided the most explosive fireworks in a wild race that featured 11 cautions in 200 laps.

Kenseth pulled away after a restart with five laps left and won going away, as Paul Menard edged Regan Smith for second on the last lap. Busch ran fourth after causing the last caution by sending Keselowski into the fence on Lap 188. Continue reading

Ryan Blaney Wins Kentucky 300 for First Nationwide Series Victory

With no Sprint Cup regulars in the Kentucky 300 race, the Nationwide Series field smelled their opportunity to take home a victory. Instead a Camping World Truck Series standout, Ryan Blaney, stole the show by winning on Saturday night.

In just his second Nationwide series start of 2013, Blaney found his first career series victory after 15 career starts/ Blaney’s win marks Penske Racing‘s tenth win of the season in the No. 22 car by four different drivers, with AJ Allmendinger, Joey Logano and Brad Keselowski.collectively making up nine of those victories.  Continue reading

Kyle Busch Doubles Up Looking for a Sweep at Chicagoland

Making it look easy from the pole to victory lane, Kyle Busch dominated the Nationwide Series Dollar General 300 on Saturday evening at Chicagoland Speedway by leading the most laps – 195 of 200. This victory is Busch’s tenth series win of 20 events in the season, 61st of his series career and third at Chicagoland Speedway.

After winning Friday night’s Camping World Truck race and Saturday’s Nationwide race, Busch is now looking to sweep with a third victory in the Sprint Cup Series race on Sunday. If he succeeds, it will mark his second three-series weekend sweep of his career.  Busch is well aware that goal is not an easy task, recognizing the handling of his car in Sprint Cup practice was not ideal.  Continue reading
