Jason Patison, the first Lucas Oil Modified Series champion, made his return to victory circle August 17th with a dominant performance in the LoanMart Hot August 75 presented by Aero Racing Wheels at the Irwindale Event Center.
Patison, with five race wins and the title in 2006, took four years off from the series to concentrate on his career and filled his competitive need by racing in the Super Late Model class at Irwindale, including two second-place finishes in as many starts this year. Continue reading →
Devin Jones grew up in California, becoming one of the youngest IKF go-karting experts ever at the age of 11 and after winning two ‘Duffy’ Grand National Championships in the same year. Amazingly he also earned WKA’s Grand National ‘Eagle’ and Gold Cup titles as the ‘most winning’ Cadet racer in Southern CA.
And that was just the beginning, inspiring this young racer to move his Devin Jones Racing team east to Moorseville, NC in 2007. Just after his 13th birthday, Jones began racing a Legend Car in the highly competitive series. In his first eight months of competition, Jones won eight races, with 36 top-fives, earning the honor of advancing from Semi-Pro to the Pro class, just two months before his 14th birthday celebration.
