The Chicagoland Venturini Family Name is among the Most Prestigious in Racing. 

As the NASCAR XFINITY and ARCA teams head to Chicagoland Speedway this weekend, we celebrate Throwback Thursday by featuring Venturini Motorsports and their midwestern roots spanning six decades of racing success. Today, their name is one of the most recognized within the sport, but there are possibly some nuggets about this family that are not so well-known to race fans.

Wendy Venturini début as first female co-anchor of a NASCAR Sprint Series Race with Performance Racing Network is on September 21st at New Hampshire Motor Speedway

One of NASCAR fans’ favorite radio and television personalities is Wendy Venturini and now she’s moving her career forward as a co-anchor with Performance Radio Network/PRN. Her début is September 21, 2014 with the Sprint Cup Series race – Sylvannia 300 – at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

Her experience working as co-anchor with PRN’s president Doug Rice and co-anchor Mark Garrow with the Nationwide Series broadcasts since 2012, give Venturini a great foundation for moving to the Sprint Cup Series broadcast.  Continue reading

Defending Better Half Dash Champion Lyn-Z Pastrana clocked the fastest time in Monday’s qualifying session and will be a favorite to win back-to-back Better Half Dash titles when the ladies of NASCAR return to Charlotte Motor Speedway’s frontstretch quarter-mile during Bojangles’ Pole Night on Thursday.

Pastrana, wife of NASCAR Nationwide Series driver and action sports superstar Travis Pastrana, said she is happy with her qualifying effort, a 20.257 second lap, but also aware of how much different the racing will be under more crowded race conditions. Continue reading
