William Byron goes back-to-back with another NASCAR Cup Series win at Phoenix Raceway in the United Rentals Work United 500.

The final race of the west coast swing took the NASCAR Cup Series to Phoenix Raceway for the United Rentals Work United 500. A tight one-mile course that features a dog leg to the left as the field enters the first turn. The Cup Series is debuting a short-track specific race package that severely limits the amount of downforce that these cars once had. The race at Phoenix was the first time deploying this package, and it threw drivers a curveball for sure.

The NASCAR Cup Series Power Ranking after Las Vegas is presented by Fan4Racing contributor Owen Stewart this week.

The NASCAR season is long, and with just three out of 36 total races completed, the picture is still a little foggy. That being said, with Las Vegas, the first intermediate track on the schedule, out of the way, the power ranking is getting clearer. Saturday was dominated by Team Penske, as defending champion Joey Logano took the pole with his teammate Ryan Blaney also starting close to the front. On Sunday, the race changed the power players in a big way, as Hendrick Motorsports was the class of the field. William Byron swept the stages and took advantage of a late-race restart to hold off teammates Kyle Larson and Alex Bowman for his first win of the season. With this race in mind, the power ranking has a new number one and plenty of changes throughout the top 20.

On Sunday, William Byron dominates the day and seals his first victory at Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Cup Series Pennzoil 400.

The NASCAR Cup Series rolls into week three on the west coast. This week Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosted a 400-mile showdown in the desert. With the season in full swing, teams are settling into the long grind that the season campaign can be. However, heading out to Las Vegas, teams and drivers alike are looking to gamble and are in a place to grab an early season win.
