Although Todd Gilliland and Ryan Partridge have dominated the news in this NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season, last year’s series’ champion made his own headline on Saturday night at Orange Show Speedway.

Driving for Bill McAnally Racing, Eggleston took the lead from Partridge with seven laps to go, chasing down his first win of the season in the Sunrise Ford 150. With that victory, the Erie, Colorado, driver of the No. 50 NAPA Filters Toyota made it clear, he’s also a contender for another championship title. Continue reading

At Irwindale Speedway in September 2014, Blaine Perkins made history as their youngest Late Model winner when he was just 14 years of age. He went on in 2015 to make his  NASCAR K&N Pro Series West debut at All-American Speedway, finishing 13th while also racing Lucas Oil Modifieds and Limited Late Models in the SRL Southwest Tour where he won a record five races in a row. A Bakersfield, California native,  Blaine Perkins is now racing the K&N West series full-time in 2016 with Steve Portenga Racing.  Continue reading

Two of the biggest names in the NHRA include Brittany and Ashley Force and now with the Traxxas Nitro Shootout, they need the support of their fans. They want their Monster Energy Top Fuel team and their Traxxas Chevrolet Camaro SS Funny Car team to secure the last spots in the field for the Top Fuel and Funny Car division.  Both drivers are successful, but they are not one of the first seven pro drivers to find nitro victories this season. Five Star Race Car Bodies, a division of Five Star Fabricating, Inc. was formed by Fran Prestay and Carl Schultz in the late 1970s in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin. It began as a side job for the two in response to a need for innovative sheet metal products in the stock car racing industry. Fran owned an auto service shop across from Carl’s local plumbing and heating business, and after a rough night at the local short track, Fran asked Carl to produce a set of sheet metal fenders for his car since finding stock parts in the salvage yard was difficult and time-consuming.
