Ryan Blaney Wins by Inches in an Epic Talladega Race

The NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series returns to Talladega Superspeedway in what is possibly be the most gut-wrenching playoff race on the schedule. The point standings have been tight, and a superspeedway race can ruin many drivers’ chances of moving on. This year the aero-package has been extremely sporty on superspeedway tracks with speeds increasing this year compared to the previous years. This produces a faster pack, with a smaller margin for error.

Kyle Larson Snaps Winless Streak at Dover International Speedway

The opening race for the NASCAR Cup Series Round of 12 was hosted by Dover International Speedway for the Drydene 400. After a dramatic opening round in the playoffs, the intensity ramps up with the set of tracks for this round. Many teams were looking to set a solid foundation before the field heads down south to Talladega Superspeedway for the next track in this round.

Chase Elliott Marches Back to Win the Bank of America Roval 400

For the second straight year, Charlotte Motor Speedway forms into a road course to host the NASCAR Cup Series cut off race in the first round of the playoffs. Last year’s race left many drivers scratching their heads on how to tackle the ‘Roval.’ Many teams returned to the track this year looking to improve.

Martin Truex Jr. Sweeps at Richmond with Second Straight Playoff Win

After a fast start to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoff stretch, race teams were looking forward to Richmond Raceway as a race to bounce back into contention and further advance themselves in the point standings. Martin Truex Jr, with Joe Gibbs Racing, has the clear advantage in the early goings after securing the first win of the playoffs at Las Vegas. This automatically advances him into the next round and allows him the chance to earn extra points toward the championship title.

Martin Truex Jr. Fights His Way into Victory Lane for the Playoff Opener

Las Vegas Motor Speedway was the site for the first race in the 2019 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series playoffs. There are ten races in the playoffs, but it is a tough road to make it to Homestead-Miami as a contender for the championship title. Sunday night’s first race was a prime example of how competitive it is throughout the playoffs.
